When companies put Intel processors in non-wintel boxes, they eventually
die off. Sequent had beautiful machines built with Intel processors, and
IBM bought them, and closed them down. Data General had 88k UNIX boxes
that ran okay, but when Motorola stopped developing the 88k, they switched
to Intel. EMC bought them and shut them down.
