Hello,

I guess an USB dongle is the way to go unless BroadCom suddenly comes to
its senses and releases docs. Luckily ehci ( read: fast USB 2.0 ) works
fine with my iBook G4 so I'd expect the same for your PowerBook.

Hmm, I'm not even sure the Airport Extreme socket has all PCI signals -
it doesn't seem to have enough pins. Then the pinout itself isn't
documented anywhere outside Apple as far as I can tell, maybe half of
the PCI device glue is already on the mainboard.

To avoid the hardware mess of the PC platform ( and make a few more
bucks of course ). The price is higher prices, less choice. The benefit
is a platform that usually Just Works(tm).

have fun
Michael
