Hello all,
first of all thanks Michael for suggestion to replace video card to pci0
I guess I did it right, now my card is on:
/bandit@F2000000/ATY,mach64@F
previously it was on:
/bandit@F4000000/ATY,mach64@E
dmesg gives:
ofb0 at pci0 dev 15 function 0: ATI Technologies Mach64 GX
ofb0: 640 x 480, 8bpp
so that's pretty much on info about hardware
I've changed my XF86Config to following:
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Mach64 GX"
Driver "vga"
BusID "PCI:0:15:0"
EndSection
note that driver vga is on purpose, if i use ati I'm getting same error msg:
(II) ATI: Candidate "Device" section "ATI Mach64".
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
usging vga I'm still unable to startx, however error msg is differend and I think I'm getting
closer...
