What exactly is your problem?
If it's flickering and random horizontal black bars (dis)appearing on the screen and your graphics chip is some sort of Radeon you may want to add 
option "iBookHacks" "true"
to your device section in /etc/X11/XF86Config. This effectively keeps the Xserver from trying to change display timing parameters and this way avoids the problem ( everything else, including 24bit and acceleration still works ).
