Personally I've never seen a DP G3 card. As I understand it, the G3 had
a design flaw that caused cache coherency issues. It wouldn't mark
contents of the cache dirty, which made sync'ing extremely difficult. As
I understand it, this could be overcome, but not cost-effectively. I
don't think I'd want to invest in seeing if someone got it right.

yields several discussions on this.
