I've never tried it but I can't see a reason why it shouldn't work. It 
won't switch to serial console when no keyboard is attached ( like a 
Sun ) though - you'll have to hold down command-option-o-f first time 
you power it up, then it should give you a serial console ( on the 
modem port if I remember correctly, at 38kbps/8N1 ) where you can do 
all the voodoo to make it always come up like that and then install 
NetBSD.
