It should - at least it doesn't have the rendering problems and on my 
box ( 300MHz G3, lots of memory ) it's even pretty fast. Only compiling

It's certainly no problem with XFree, the problem is in gecko. Can't be 
the font renderer - other apps work just fine. FF over network on 
another display has the same rendering problems.
