It's possible but it needs hacking, these hacks have never been tested
on a G3 though.
Get the XFree86 stuff here:
http://macallan.homeunix.org:6704/stuff/BSD/
XFree86_server_macppc.tar.bz2
And a kernel for your G3 here:
http://macallan.homeunix.org:6704/NetBSD/index.php?which=6&show=kernel
This should allow you to run XFree.

The usual disclaimer:
These hacks are highly experimental and absolutely unofficial. Try it
at your own risk. It works for me ( S900 with Voodoo3 ) and a few
others though. It may not work for you. It shouldn't screw up your disk
or anything but it might lock up the console so have another way to
login to your machine handy. Don't use a monitor that can be fried by
wacky video signals.

good luck
Michael
