Ouch, either you have a really, really bad cable (not too likely) or 
you're bitten by the mysterious mc bug (very likely).
The problem with it is that no one really knows what causes it and not 
everyone has it - my S900 ( the board design is based on the 9500 and 
uses exactly the same kind of IO chip which contains the mc ) doesn't 
have it for instance. There were a couple of patches a few months ago 
which apparently cured it on some machines but I have no idea about the 
current state of affairs.
I guess Tim Kelly will clarify this pretty soon :)

Please try this kernel:
