yeah, I don't know if I have 2 or 4 mb of vram. I think 4... but who
knows... I have a VRAM expansion.

hmmm...

here I had to hard-limit ram usage and have artifacted display at about
every bit-depth and resolution, but the problem comes very clear at 1024
or s. seems like some part of the screens are addressed more than one
(you type and see parts of your xterm elsewhere on the screen).

but you can get an X to start up.

But I use michael's patched X server
