Hey,

I post to the list here since Tim's spamcop is rejecting my messages.

HMMMMMM. In any case I am testing on the 604e of the 9500 which is my
"test and try" computer lately... I possibly will test the kernel on the
9600 later.

applied, compiled, rebooted. Seems to work quick and fast.

Then, I think, mc0 changes should be included here, right ? I rename my
ifocnfig file... reboot...
and I see it hangs a long time and "root on..." and then continues...
and there, mesh SYNC problems are biting me again! mesh dma timeouts !!!

The CVS kernel does not include michael's mesh patches ?

in any case a telnet log in is almost inmpossible.. after a minute I got
only "escape character is..:"

so I think mc is still flakey...

Then, I reset my ifconfig file, replug the ethernet connector in the
digital board.. and reboot without any problems!

So could it be that just the presence of the link status in the mc plug
makes problems?

I see also that SYNC is enabled for my troublesome disk that can't be
forced to async, but that the other drives work async. (COntrary to
michael's kernel where everything is sync).
SO I suppose that as it has to be in the generic kernel the default is
async.

Anyway I can confirm that also hen using the digital etherent.. the
kernel has mesh scsi problems. I did some heavy disk stress like "find /
> (dev/null"

and.. tada....

I attach a dmesg of the kernel
