Hi,

Something interesting that I've noticed about running an MP kernel on a
non-MP CPU card (aside from the fact that the system thinks it has two
processors) is that it seems to "freeze" until it gets some interrupts. If
the machine is otherwise idle, top or anything else which doesn't require
interaction will stop until something causes something (a keystroke on the
serial console, or a keystroke on an ssh connection). Running a
distributed.net client in the background keeps it going.

Just an extra datapoint. This is current from today. I'll put in the dual
CPU card and see how it does.

Thanks,
John Klos
