My inquiry is to determine the proper forum to bring this up.

It has come to my attention that NetBSD appears to be using the 1.1.4
version of gzip's zlib, while the newest version is 1.2.1

As I understand it, there were significant issues regarding segment
faults and possible buffer overflows that were addressed in 1.2.0.x.

Where would I bring this up for an inquiry into any work being done on
bringing this up to date?
