hi list,

i'm running -current (as of 20040907) on a Power Mac G4 (400MHz, 1GByte  
RAM, pretty standard except the ATI Radeon 9000 gfx card).

running xf86config and trying to start X, regardless of the settings  
made in xf86config, the gfx card seems to deliver totally weird  
signaling to the monitor (a LaCie 22inch, capable of 130kHz horizontal)  
thus disabling to display any sensible screen -- the OSD says that the  
signal coming in is at 196Hz (vertical) and 532kHz (!) (horizontal).

i tried the radeon-driver (IIRC no. 6 in xf86config) and the generic  
ATI (IIRC no. 5) -- no avail.

my settings usually go the 1600 by 1200 at 85 Hz/24bpp direction. but  
of corse i did try with more conservative settings (800 x 600 and 640 x  
480 at lower refresh rates)...

has anybody X running on a Power Mac using a Radeon? Is there something  
to tweak?
