ok, with michael's patch, i can get X running on the matrox card. the keyboard
works (well, it seems that there are some dead keys on it, so it's time to look
for a new keyboard) but the mouse does not.

adb0 at obio0 offset 0x16000 irq 18: 3 targets
aed0 at adb0 addr 0: ADB Event device
akbd0 at adb0 addr 2: extended keyboard
wskbd0 at akbd0: console keyboard, using wsdisplay0
ams0 at adb0 addr 15: EMP trackball <KML1> 2-button, 200 dpi
wsmouse0 at ams0 mux 0
ams1 at adb0 addr 3: Kensington Turbo Mouse
wsmouse at ams1 not configured

why is there ams0 and ams1? there is only one pointing device on the ADB bus
and that's the Kensington Orbit Trackball (Model# 64330)

hmmm, i think i have X using /dev/wsmouse, let me change that to /dev/wsmouse0
and see what happens.
