That's normal - the ofb driver doesn't know how to set resolutions or anything like that, it just uses whatever OF sets up. When X11 exits the part of the framebuffer used by ofb is overwritten by whatever X11 did but it should be functional.
( the same happens on my S900 )

Same here ( with both, an UK ADB keyboard and a Sun Type6 USB one ), xmodmap is your friend. Both work fine (and with correct layout) in the console though.

Similar problem again - the UK layout that comes with XFree seems to be identical to the US layout - use xmodmap to swap keys around, store your modified keymap somewhere and add a call to xmodmap to your .xinitrc...
