There was a thread on this list a while back on how to get this
beast booted.  The basic install notes work up to a point.
Unfortunately, the OF 2.4 machines need a little extra.

In the list archives, Look for:

	"Install on a Beige G3 / OF 2.4"

The thread starts in early June, 2003.  It describes many of the ins and outs.
AFAIK, no one has gotten an OF 2.4 machine to auto-boot.
