ok, trying to netboot the 8600 into the 2.0BETA (0709 snapshot) MD kernel gets
me a DEFAULT CATCH somewhere around what appears to be halfway through the
kernel load. it happens at the same spot every time.

i snagged the 1.6.2 MD kernel, and am installing that now (in hopes of catching
what was panicing it during install since i have serial console now)

after this i'll try -current.

anyone know what i need to do to figure out why the 2.0BETA kernel dies? i'd
love to help get this straightened out.

-brian
