Hello,

there must be something wrong in top or the kernel's statistics stuff -
it claims that xmms ( remote display since local X doesn't work (yet) )
uses only 1-4% CPU time playing mp3 or 2-5% playing ogg/vorbis - or do
other operating system really have such a huge threading overhead? I
thought ~8% on a 800MHz Athlon was pretty good... and this is a 300MHz
G3 with 1MB backside cache at half the CPU clock... no skips even when
compiling lots of stuff while playing - whatever it is, NetBSD 2.0
seems to do something seriously right :D

have fun
