the machine wont boot with less then 16MB of ram. also, did your 9500
come with a rom simm, did you take that out to?

the butten resets the cudda chip, witch stores the time and basic hw info.
a good thing to hit when adding/removing hw

if the machine was off, then its fine.

at this point, all i can tell you is to start kicking & screeming :(
