As someone on IRC suggested me, I got the boot floppies of releng
netbsd-daily, 3 Mar 04.
I set load-base to 600000 and real-base to F00000 and tried booting of
the floppy using
boot fd:0

and I get always the same default catch error almost instantaneously.

I'm quite a NetBSD fan and use it on 68K and Sparc... this PPC thing is
driving me crazy and is disappointing too.
