yes. I tried without, by setting only load-base and both. Resetting
using reset-all.

I couldn't get output-device and input-device to work here. SO I wen the
more complex route (1.0.5 was quite crude). Right now I am testing only
through ttya since using screen and kbd could pose problems, so some
people report.
