How about any non-extended keyboard? Remember, num-lock only exists 
to let you toggle the functionality of the "extra" keypad. If that 
keypad isn't there, there's no numlock (like, oh, every laptop for 
instance :).

Rather, XFree86 works just fine on your 7300...it just can't control 
the built-in framebuffer. Throw in a PCI video card & XFree works 
just fine ;).
