For me, the onboard ethernet is extremely slow.

I get about 40kbytes/sec on the LAN with scp, and although I do max out
at about 150kbytes/sec from remote sites (expected with DSL), the fastest
I've gotten from a local computer is about 200kbytes/sec.

I've been told by one of the FreeBSD/ppc guys that the bm driver is just
inefficient, and this is the why I see such poor performance.
