It's my crummy directions.  You *must* umount /dev/wd0a AND /dev/wd0g
(and any other partition you mounted) before you try to re-install the
sets.  you don't need to worry about the disklabel error messages either,
fwiw.  this stuff is documented in INSTALL btw.
