I must be doing something wrong since I'm still having issues.
I had created the paritions and newfs'd them. But when I run the installer
to re-isntall the sets, I get:
'Your file system /dev/wd0g was not successfully mounted. Upgrade aborted.'
My /etc/fstab on the root partition is as follows:
/dev/wd0a / ffs rw 1 1
/dev/wd0b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/wd0g /usr ffs rw 1 2
Everything looks fine. I even looked at the partition map using pdisk and
it looks fine there. The only issue I'm running into is newfs giving a
minor error after it is done.
#newfs /dev/wd0g
Warning: 624 sector(s) in last cylinder unallocated
Formatting stuff...
newfs: ioctl (WDINFO): Invalid argument
newfs: /dev/wd0g: can't rewrite disk label
I get the same error for /dev/wd0a and /dev/wd0g but both mount manually
just fine. fsck doesn't find any problems either.
This is just odd to me.
