Updated to sources from the 24th and then the 26th.  Same result.  Kernel
from sources on the 20th boots fine.

With the new kernels I notice that the IDE controllers probe and attach,
then some adb stuff, then it starts probing for IDE devices (and hangs
after wd0 attaches).

With the old kernels the drives would be probed right after the controller
attached.
