I've been trying to get this working, but what I get is a reasonable 
looking root weave on the left ~quarter of the display, a white 
horizontal translucent stripe about five eights of the way down, and 
alternating stripes of black and white vertical lines on the rest of 
the screen.   :'(   Oh, and two X cursors.   :'}
