Allen Briggs has added quirks for some new powerbook models in -current 
which forces the kernel to use the adb keyboard if the firmware doesn't 
indicate the console keyboard.

Great news that the 17'' model boots; I still have been unable to get 
NetBSD to boot on my 15'' 1GHz model, though I have not yet had the 
chance to try the ofwboot/kernel that Soren posted.
