I have sucessfully installed, and I am running, NetBSD 1.6 MACPPC on a blue
slot loading iMac (350Mhz)

What was needed to do for this to work ..

Copy ofwboot.xcf and netbsd.ppc (kernenl) to the root of the hfs drive.
Enter open firmware and use:

boot hd:,\OFWBOOT.XCF NETBSD.PPC

when a root device could not be found, use:

gem0

(this step is probably avoidable if you make a custom kernel, and somehow
manage to get it onto the hfs partition)

to boot from the network, using a FreeBSD 4.7 server for the nfs partitions.
