Greetings,

Recently I decided to install NetBSD on my 867MP MDD, but during the
install procedure it says hat no hard drives are found, and when
looking at the dmesg output it didn't seem to find the hard disk either.

Without a hard disk it's quite hard to export the dmesg to send it, but
I copied the following using pencil and paper (I was using the 1.6
GENERIC_MD kernel):

wdc0 at obio0 offset 0x1f000 IRQ 19 : DMA transfer
wdc1 at obio0 offset 0x20000 IRQ 20 : DMA transfer
atapibus0 at wdc1 channel 0 : 2 targets
<more stuff about the CD drive>

I also noticed that this seems not to happen just under NetBSD, but
also seems to be happening under OpenBSD and SuSE Linux, which I also
tried to install, could this be because Apple changed something
drastically in the HD setup?

I hope someone will be able to help me. :-)
