Hello all,

I just installed 1.6 on an old PowerMac 7300. Installation was relatively
painless (apart from OpenBoot's show-children command causing a fault!). I am
using the serial console as I cannot get anything sensible from the onboard
video - even with the patches for the via-cuda device installed. That's fine
for what I need though.

The problem is that sometimes when a lot of data is passing across the serial
link (e.g. scrolling down a page in an editor) the link will hang. The system
seems to be still alive (I can ping it). I will set up ssh support on it next
so I can take a look at what is happening, but thought I'd ask if anybody has
seen anything like this before?

Boot messages are pasted below, and the terminal emulator I am using at the
moment is Hyperterm on Win XP Home (I'm going to move this to my i386 NetBSD
box and see if that makes a difference. The connection is set to 38400 8N1 Flow
Control: None.
