I don't know if it will affect the original poster's efforts, but the 
7200 came with two different versions of the ROMs.   I thought I'd 
throw that out because it might save some time down the road, in case 
it does affect BSD support.

One version appears as $77D.28F1 in Apple System Profiler.  The other 
version is the same as is found in the x500 machines and clones and 
is $77D.28F2.  Yes, many 7200s use the same ROMs as the x500 
machines, despite having a different memory controller and CPU bus 
arbiter.  This surprised me.

On the motherboard, the four chips with the first version are marked 
341S0106 - 341S0109.  The four chips of the second version are marked 
341S0168 - 341S0171.
