Yes. See the posts about this in the past. I did this EXACT thing once to
my beige G3. I unplugged it from the wall, removed the battery, and
actually gently shorted the battery clip terminals together for a few
minutes. Sitting for an hour or so would work too; I was in a rush. ;-)
