OK I just want to load the install kernel .. So I just have root
defined.

Thanks for this - I can get as far as each other with both bootp and
dhcp in bootp mode.. I have added what I didn't have to my bootp file.

I have a plethora of files - so far I am trying to boot the ungzipped
netbsd.GENERIC_MD kernel as 'netbsd'

Hrm this is a tad older than yours :( Damn this Apple gear :)

I'll keep going and tell you what happens. So far I can tftp the files
over just fine from the netbsd tftp client - so maybe it is hardware
related?
