I just got donated quite a nice PMac 7300/166 (2x 2GB, 2x 100 MBit NIC,
Rage2+DVD, 128 MB).

Due to the conditions under which I got it, I will need to run Debian on it
for a while, but that only occupies one harddisk.

I could create a dual boot to NetBSD (1.6 as soon as it is ready, preparing
:-)), and dualboot using oldworld bootloader Quick.

I checked Quick, and it seems to have parameters to e.g. set the load_base
per entry, so I could set it for NetBSD (and not for Linux).

The question is if somebody already tried this, and has some hands-on
experience on dual booting Linux and NetBSD on oldworlders? (specially of
the 7x00 series)

Another problem could be if Quick can actually boot NetBSD? I probably
would have to mount the NetBSD root under Debian, so that Quick can get the
location of the kernel when I reinit it?

I'm particularly worried about the screen. The monitor only gets sync when
the Linux kernel seems to init the framebuffer, so how to get sync for the
bootmenu?
