I'm trying to install NetBSD 1.6_RC2 on a friend's 233MHz beige G3 (OF
2.0f1). However, the install kernel never finishes booting. Here's what the
screen looks like:

-----

It hangs there.

In the past, I've booted NetBSD kernels on my own beige G3 (266MHz, same OF
and video card), so I tried the same kernel on my machine. The results are
slightly different. It clears the screen, makes the font larger and
Sun-like, and prints only this:

-----
console keyboard type: ADB
[ netbsd ELF symbol table not valid ]
[ no symbol table formats found ]

Just to be sure, I tried INSTALL and GENERIC on both machines, too. They get
no further.

I've run System Disk to get the nvramrc patches, set load-base to 600000,
and set real-base to F00000.

Any ideas why these 1.6_RC2 kernels aren't working for me?

Thanks,
