Someone else mentioned that the support for that particular model 
would need -current or a 1.6 beta. There is no ISO of any 1.6 yet, 
but since your iMac has OF 3+, it's pretty good about bootable 
options. You can pretty much copy the whole 
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/macppc/snapshot/20060706-1.6D/ 
hierarchy onto a CDROM and make sure that you put an install kernel 
and the bootloader on it and it should be bootable (in theory anyway).

If that doesn't work, let us know *how* it fails...i.e. does OF just 
tell you to bugger off, or does it try before failing.
