No client hacks needed... you run "lbxproxy -display your.x.server:0" on
the machine running the X clients, and you set all your client $DISPLAYs
to :63. The clients connect to the proxy, which then does its
compression and forwards the compressed stream over to the server.

This is a NetBSD mailing list though... I think X should mean the X
Window System by default; to refer to MacOS X, use OSX or something like
that. But I don't really care either way :)
