It is not cheap, but the happy hacking keyboard has none of these problems
and works fine with ADB.  I use it on all my ADB bus macs.  They have a
web page at www.pfuca.com.

I have one of these at every console I use for significant periods of
time.  Switching between different sets of keyboard habits is a real
frustration for me.
