Basically, mod_perl and MySQL stuff. In fact, I'd like to start
hosting Scoop sites.
<http://scoop.kuro5hin.org>

I don't need Aqua and don't need FireWire drivers. I will use ATA
disks. This G4 have 576 MB of RAM and maybe I will boost it to 1 GB
of RAM. If the project is really a success I will need to buy a
second G4, so this machine could be either a database server or a web
server.

Regarding web or database serving, is NetBSD more suitable than OS X?
In the context of a server, is there things where OS X is more
appropriate?

I see that you work at Wasabi. Is the standard Wasabi NetBSD distro
is different (installer, what is installed, etc...) than the iso
images for the CD that you can download from the NetBSD.org site?

Thanks!!!

Cheers

PS: I'm ccing to port-macppc because I think I have send wrongly my
first post to port-ppc.
