Same on a G4/450 cube. See my long (2 messages) description in another
thread. Not only can I not boot, my cube is no longer usable as I can't
get into the OF anymore.

IMHO, this makes NetBSD unusable as a server on macppc, at least on the
hardware for which auto-boot doesn't work. It must work on at least one
platform, the FAQ/install notes go into detail about how to set it up.

Can anyone report hardware on which auto-boot is known to work?
