I have been having trouble getting a scsi scanner to work on my
9500: the scanner works under MacOS, so cabling and hardware are
not at fault, I think.

After installing the 1.5ZC snapshot, I now get these messages in
dmesg, and wonder what they tell me.

scsibus0: waiting 2 seconds for devices to settle...
probe(esp0:0:2:0): esp0: timed out [ecb 0xa8f000 (flags 0x1, dleft
4a, stat 0)], <state 5, nexus 0xa8f000, phase(l 21, c 1, p 1),
resid 4a, msg(q 0,o 0) DMA active>
probe(esp0:0:2:0): esp0: timed out [ecb 0xa8f000 (flags 0x41,
dleft 4a, stat 0)], <state 5, nexus 0xa8f000, phase(l 21, c 1, p
1), resid 4a, msg(q 20,o 0) DMA active> AGAIN
esp0: SCSI bus reset

scsictl finds nothing on that bus.

I may try 1.5.3_RC2 later this week and see if things are any
different. But these messages are new (ie, they weren't in 1.5.2).
What has changed?

Excellent day for drinking heavily. Spike office water cooler.
