"It works for me." (with serial console)

Would you please mention more details what you typed, how it failed,
and what your console output said?

Maybe it is because each snapshot is not official release.
There is no formal place for snapshot, and sysinst is
designed for the official release.

As I said before, 20020407-1.5ZC snapshot does not contain
X sets. You cannot specify full installation. instead,
you have to select custum installation and disable all X sets.
(of course "hangup" is not good, though..)

Again, please mention what you tried and what was printed exactly.
Not all people could reproduce your problem.
(it smells of serial console problem..)

Did boot.fs in 1.5.2 work properly before? Did you see any significant
difference on installation between 1.5.2 and 20020407-1.5ZC snapshot?
