Hey all,

Been trying to compile the latest (when ever there is a new version in the
pkgsrc) version of the mysql-server from the pkgsrc and I get the following:

In file included from
/usr/pkgsrc/databases/mysql-server/work/mysql-3.23.49/mit-pthreads/syscall.S
:5:
/usr/include/sys/cdefs.h:212: #error "No function renaming possible"
/usr/pkgsrc/databases/mysql-server/work/mysql-3.23.49/mit-pthreads/syscall.S
:32: unterminated character constant
*** Error code 1

What does this mean and how do I solve it?

Mysql-client compiles and installs just fine.

Thanks.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
