Well, it looks like I'll have to give up on using the scanner with 
this box if I want to use NetBSD. I could try linuxppc, but I 
doubt I'll fare any better.

As I learned today, the 9500/120 is the first OF box Apple 
released, so I'd expect to find the most anomalies in it.

Anyone got any good cheap PCI SCSI card recommendations so I can 
use this with x86?

Yup, anyone's is newer than mine ;-) I haven't tried any of this 
with the G3.
