Just for archival purposes, I found that, at least on my PowerMac 4400, the
video does not sync properly when booting into Open Firmware when you have
an Apple 14" monitor connected.  When I hooked up another monitor that was
able to multisync, it worked fine.

This was the solution to a problem I had had earlier.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
