I have a similar problem with a PM 4400. I did download the 4.0.1 sources
from www.xfree.org (the first of the three packages is sufficient). Then I
applied the patches from ftp://nandra.iri.co.jp/pub/NetBSD/macppc/XFree86/
and went to bed. It compiled without any hitches but unluckily didn=B4t wor=
k
either. Maybe you are luckier. I will try the very latest patch from
today.=20

I would appreciate if somebody could tell me why my Voodoo3 isn=B4t
recognized as a Voodoo3 and what went wrong with the ATI probe.
