I'd like to setup NetBSD on a 2 Gb disk on a B&W G3. I just stumbled
onto this and would be interested to know if I could do all my
OFmonkeywork within OS Xm using pdisk and nvram?

stuff like this looks promising.

EXAMPLES
              example% nvram boot-args="-s rd=*hd:10"

Set the boot-args variable to "-s rd=*hd:10". This would
specifiy single user mode with the root device in hard
       drive partition 10.
