That's what I advised mw on fixing:  making the install kernel use de.
It's a rather simple change, and matches the commented-out nature of most
other uses of TLP_MATCH_* in other kernel configs.  (Haven't you wondered
why TLP_MATCH_* still isn't default in i386 or particularly alpha?  8-)

No, I understood that.

However, the prices of PCI net cards out there, and the tendency for people
to have multiple network interfaces these days, brings this into important
consideration.  It's easier to fall back on `de' in the INSTALL kernel than
deal with the support headaches of using TLP_MATCH_21* in GENERIC.

Are there any built-in interfaces which *don't* work with `de'?
